Plant Sale

We start each season by raising beautiful vegetable seedlings to help you get a great start on your home garden – here in Northern Vermont every little bit counts!

Plants are timed for the last two weeks in May and the first two to three weeks of June. Plants are available at the Hardwick and Morrisville Farmer's Market, or by arrangement. Please call the farm (802-533-9046) to find a time to visit. Below is a listing of varieties we offer to help you with planning.

See our listing below for a sense of what we offer, be aware the varieties may change.

Herbs

  • Parsley - Giant of Italy. Dark green flat leaf type is easy to clean.

  • Sage - Broadleaf. Lavender flowers in early summer.

  • Thyme - German winter. Enjoy fresh all season and dry for winter use.

  • Broccoli - Belstar. A large, nicely domed intial head followed by good side shoot production, great choice for the home garden.

  • Brussels Sprouts - Gustus. The most dependable variety we have found. In 2019 our plants grew to waist height! Enjoy an abundance of large sprouts.

  • Cabbage, Early - Golden Acre. Tender attractive heads. Plants can be spaced closely if smaller heads are desired. Quick to mature for early summer coleslaw.

Heirlooms

  • Amish Paste - Popular heirloom paste tomato with excellent flavor for that old fashioned homemade tomato sauce. Needs ample room to produce ample yields of oxheart shaped fruits with thick bright red flesh. Indeterminate/vining. 85 days
